I like our Cuisinart coffee maker. We had owned it for less than a year when I tapped it while washing it and it cracked (hence the 4 stars instead of 5....I don't think it shouldn't have broken in the first place). So, although it was still useable, I elected to order a new carafe from Amazon rather than purchase a new coffee maker for obvious reasons. The carafe came well packaged and works great. If it cracks though, I might have to consider purchasing a different coffee maker...I've been married for over 30 years and that was the first coffee carafe that I ever cracked.
